Kim Ji-Woo (KimJiGlow)
Born in Seoul, Korea on July 27, 2002, my journey with music began almost from my first breath. Though I lost my father to cancer just before my third birthday, his musical legacy lives on through the video messages and performance recordings he left behind—treasured glimpses of the artist who first sparked my love for music.
At seven, I picked up my first violin, captivated by its ability to translate every emotion into sound. The instrument became my voice when words weren’t enough, expressing everything from pure joy to profound sadness. Three years later, I expanded my musical horizons with piano lessons, made possible by my mother’s unwavering dedication—working extra shifts to afford both an old piano and the instruction that would shape my future.
Middle school brought the discovery of my true calling when I joined a singing group and found my voice as a vocalist. This moment crystallized my path as an artist, bringing together years of instrumental training with the raw expression of song.
Today, I carry forward the musical passion my father instilled and the determination my mother nurtured. Every performance honors both the inheritance of talent and the sacrifice of love that brought me to this stage. My music is a bridge between memory and hope, tradition and innovation—a reflection of the journey that made me who I am.
